Kidz 4 Kamp

When Love Without Boundaries announced their desire to create a program designed to encourage families to "give a little of their time & talents" and raise funds for sending orphans to camp ~ we immediately got excited and asked for more info. From our inception, one of our main goals was to increase awareness and involvement in serving our " greater community." Michela & Lexie strongly desire to encourage children to get involved and join them in serving those less fortunate. That is what Kidz 4 Kamp is all about and we are honored to lead this program as a mother-daughter team for LWB. Kidz 4 Kamp is in essence children giving a little of themselves through small "backyard fundraiser" to make another child's dream come true. Funds raised will send orphans to camps run by Chinese professionals. Visit Http://www.lovewithoutboundaries.com/kidzkamp.cfm to learn all about this program or you can email us at lisa@lovewithoutboundaries.com for complete details on how to get involved. Click here to see the logo and to read a quote from the girls.

Kidz 4 Kamp Tea Party Fundraiser

What happens when you gather a bunch of people, collect some great donations from local businesses and individuals, and assemble some terrific entertainment and treats? You have a fantastic fundraiser, of course!

On November 19 th , our family sponsored a tea party fundraiser to raise funds for LWB's Kidz 4 Kamp program. As you may know, K4K sends orphans to summer camps led largely by Chinese professionals. Last summer children participated in 5 different camps for music, art, sports, and physical therapy. Our goal is for 10 camps this summer!

Thanks to a fabulous silent auction, an amazing professional photographer, and some great ticket sales, this event raised over $3200 for Kidz 4 Kamp!

A wonderful time was had by all; making Chinese themed crafts, eating scrumptious treats brought by participants, and watching the amazing entertainment. A local group of musicians and their students performed Chinese folk music on traditional instruments like the pipa. There was also a Chinese pre-school performance- too cute :0) and several dances performed by a local Chinese dance troupe. Finally, the icing on the cake, a speech was given by our China program facilitator Tingting, what a treat!

Many families and children's groups donated their time and resources to make this event a success. This is the true spirit of K4K, kids reaching out to other kids and serving one another.

If you would like more info on K4K, or would like to participate in one of our upcoming summer camps, please e-mail us at lisa@lovewithoutboundaries.com . Click here to see photos of the event.

2005 Wrap Up

This last year has been so rewarding. We thank you all for your support of the beautiful waiting children in China . Getting involved in these children's lives has had a profound impact on us. We love these children so much, and appreciate the opportunity to assist them. We could not do it without all of you! Michela and Alexis are constantly amazed at the kind words that are written to them and the folks showing their support by purchasing their art. They pour their hearts into their work, and feel called to this ministry. They are inspired by your encouragement. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
